Episode 1

SA FU-LOI and his younger brother SA PO-LOI are both con artists. They find that some triad members are waiting for them when they return to Sabah. It turns out that FU-LOI has sold a fake antique to a rich man. The man threatens to kill PO-LOI if FU-LOI fails to pay him 500,000 ringgit by the deadline he sets. YUEN and SUM meet with the private detective their father used to hire when he was alive. They learn from him that their father had gone to Sabah to search for his love child, YAT-MING. SUM and MAN learn that CHUK is not happy his relative has been fired. What is more, he plans to make use of the media to menace YUEN to revenge him. But he is made a fool of by YUEN instead. CHUK complains to MEI. SUM and the private detective go to Sabah to look for MING. When there, she gives the detective some money and tells him to lie to YUEN. SUM wears an expensive watch……

The robbers want to kidnap SUM. FU-LOI is injured in saving her. SUM manages to run away. When she later returns to where she is locked, FU-LOI is nowhere to be seen. A well-off man has recently died. FU-LOI and PO-LOI go to his house to search for anything valuable, only to discover… YUEN arrives at Sabah with the private detective. FU-LOI and his brother put up a show to make YUEN believe he is his half-brother. YUEN wants to compensate FU-LOI on behalf of their father. So he tells FU-LOI their father has left a villa to him. He also invites FU-LOI to visit Hong Kong. MEI is giving an interview with a magazine. She goes to the family villa to look for some suitable clothes. NIN has found MEI’s diamond ring. Not wanting MEI to discover her late husband’s secret, NIN locks the ring up. She is caught red-handed by MEI nevertheless.

NIN is unhappy YUEN has invited FU-LOI to Hong Kong, thinking that he is causing himself trouble. FU-LOI bumps into SUM at a shopping mall as he is shopping with PO-LOI. YUEN shows FU-LOI and PO-LOI around the villa. MEI gives YUEN a good telling-off when he tells PO-LOI this villa will be his. YEUNG YIN-FUN, the CHEUKS’ family lawyer, is playing golf with CHUK when MEI suddenly shows up. The three of them are having an argument when TUNG LING-CHI ANGIE, CHUK’s daughter, who is a lawyer and has just returned from the UK, appears. YUEN is very bothered by MEI’s opposition. MEI announces that she is filing a lawsuit against YUEN and that CHI is her representing lawyer as soon as she has got home. NIN runs into ANGIE. What CHUK told her wedding day all comes back to her. SUM wants to see MING, her half brother. She goes to the hotel where he is staying but to no avail. As she turns around, she is surprised to see FU-LOI…

SUM plays with FU-LOI on the street. Their behavior attracts the attention of a police officer. YUEN offers to pay FU-LOI cash instead of the villa. FU-LOI is thrilled to bits. ANGIE dances with MEI. She persuades MEI into sending FU-LOI away with money. MEI has a meeting with FU-LOI. YUEN, FUN and ANGIE are also present. She flies into a rage when FU-LOI presents a birth certificate that proves he is HEI’s son. Seeing that the matter is getting more and more complicated, FU-LOI and PO-LOI return to Sabah. CHUK tells ANGIE what he told NIN on her wedding day. YUEN finds it strange that ANGIE’s attitude towards him has changed completely. She is accusing him in a car park as NIN drives past. The CHEUK family is throwing a Christmas party. ANGIE has a private conversation with NIN. MAN teases at SUM at the party, which drives her mad. FU-LOI lures MEI to go to Sabah with a trick.

FU takes MEI to a mountain. As they walk up, they see a man in HEI’s clothes. FU carries MEI on his back to run after the man. Later, they find HEI’s tomb. A toy merchant makes a racket at YUEN’s bank. He complains that the bank’s neglect has delayed the shipment of his goods. He demands the bank compensate for his loss. FUN and YUEN entrust the matter to ANGIE. ANGIE and her boyfriend, MATTHEW, look into the matter together and find… The matter is settled at last. YUEN invites ANGIE and MATTHEW home for supper. ANGIE drinks too much and gets a stomachache. MATTHEW goes to get her some aspirins. ANGIE sees a man standing in front her with aspirins in his hand, and so stands up to kiss him. MEI invites FU to Hong Kong. PO follows them. MEI tells her family members she has gone to Sabah to look for HEI. She adds that she has accepted “YAT-MING”, as she believes it was her late husband’s wish……

SUM opens the box FU gave her and finds in it a note inviting her out on the New Year Eve. She arrives at where they are supposed to meet but FU is not there. Minutes later, he shows up suddenly and gives her an expensive watch. They then smooch on the street. MAN, who has been following SUM secretly, is stunned to see this. MEI has invited MING to the family’s New Year Eve party. SUM is taken by surprise to see that FU and MING are the same person, whereas FU is astonished, too. Although SUM acts as if she is all right, everybody can see she is upset. MAN takes her to paraglide so as to cheer her up. MEI introduces FU to CHUK. The two old people enjoy FU’s company immensely. At HEI’s memorial, MEI and other family members share with one another their memories with HEI in the past.

MATTHEW proposes to ANGIE as they are shopping at a household store. To his disappointment, she tells him she has someone else on her mind. MATTHEW asks if that man is YUEN. MEI wants to appoint FU as director of the bank. YUEN agrees. However, when he tells MAN this he meets with his strong opposition. NIN casts a vote in opposition to the proposal in the directors’ meeting. As a result, the proposal is turned down. MEI is furious. YUEN appoints FU to be his assistant instead. It does not take FU long to grasp the power distribution in the bank with the help of TAI WING-LUK. PO works as an office assistant in the bank. The brothers are sharing with each other what they have seen on the first day at work when MAN shows up and blames PO for not doing his job well. MEI, who is still at odds with NIN, knocks down a man who is passing by as she is trying to hide away from NIN.

MEI is taken to the police station. ANGIE shows up in the identity of her lawyer and claims that she has found a witness who can prove MEI’s innocence. MEI is surprised that the witness is NIN. YUEN finds that his mother and wife have been reconciled, and that ANGIE has agreed to work as their family lawyer. FU is learning at the different departments of the bank. TAI YICK-YAN of the Investment Department is meeting a client. FU requests to go with her. SZETO FUNG, YAN’s boyfriend who is also the head of the department, accepts his request despite it is against the bank’s policy. FU talks the client into investing in a fund. When MAN asks about this later, FUNG shifts the blame onto YAN. MAN has asked FU to assess whether the bank should grant a loan to a company. FU works without rest to get the job done but MAN derides his efforts. SUM wants to stop MAN, but…

YUEN and ANGIE are going to Sabah for business. NIN is very disappointed, as YUEN will then not be able to celebrate with her their wedding anniversary. She is therefore excited when YUEN says they will celebrate in Sabah. ANGIE is taking a walk around the beach as she sees YUEN and NIN celebrating their anniversary. She cannot help but fancies herself as NIN. MAN tells FU to do a credit assessing again. He even bets SUM that FU will not be able to manage the job. SUM returns to the bank at the small hours of the morning to help FU and PO. NIN and YUEN are shopping with ANGIE when they bump into MATTHEW. NIN did not know until then that ANGIE and MATTHEW have broken up already. MAN expresses his love for SUM but she turns him down. Later when she hears him telling NIN how much he loves her, she changes her mind. FU has done SUM a favor at work. He grasps the opportunity to invite her to dinner……

MING intends to have a candlelight dinner with SUM, only to find that she is going out with MAN. A subsidiary of the bank is planning to acquire a US corporation. MING suggests LAI WAN-CHOI, the Director of the Finance Department, to buy the corporation’s shares. YUEN, NIN and MING are on the way to the “Outstanding Banker Presentation Ceremony” when YUEN’s secretary informs him that the US Securities and Futures Commission has received complaints about the bank’s involvement in insider trading. YUEN has to give up the ceremony. Later, he takes MING to where the ceremony was held earlier. After telling MING their dad’s principles of running the bank, YUEN accuses him of hiding something very important from him. YUEN discovers that the bank ANGIE’s ex-boyfriend, MATTHEW, works for is buying out the Cosmo Bank’s shares in the market. The sandal of the bank disturbs SUM. MING cheers her up……

YUEN and NIN go to the villa to look for MING respectively. When they arrive, MING and PO have all packed up and are about to return to Sabah. To clear her brother’s name, SUM holds a press conference to make public the truth. YUEN, however, makes a speech before she can do so. YUEN needs to go to the US to explain to the Securities and Futures Commission. He is so tired from the preparation that he falls asleep on ANGIE’s shoulder. NIN sees this as she enters YUEN’s office. MING apologizes to YUEN prior to the shareholders’ meeting, saying that he will explain to the shareholders at the meeting. One of the shareholders, MAN NGO-KWAN, proposes to remove YUEN from his office. And CHUK… SUM takes some soup to MING on behalf of MEI. MING is very pleased to see her. He is shocked therefore when she tells him to go back to Sabah. YUEN has a headache. ANGIE takes him to go boating.

ANGIE does not expect to see NIN when she is home. NIN has come to tell her CHING PAK-HIM, Head of the Legal Department, will be accompanying YUEN to the US instead of her. MING meets with MATTHEW. He tells MATTHEW he can draw KWAN to his side in buying out the bank. NIN happens to see them and she tells MAN about this. ANGIE shows up in the States suddenly. She and YUEN have a drink together. When they have returned to the hotel, she expresses her love for him then they kiss. YUEN returns to Hong Kong earlier than expected. MING tells YUEN he is willing to compensate for his lost with the villa. NIN tells her family members about MING working with MATTHEW. On the other hand, YUEN tries but fails to make NIN believe there is nothing going on between him and ANGIE.

MING has succeeded in making the others change their views on him. Learning from other banks’ experience, he puts forward a proposal on how to save the bank’s reputation to SUM and MAN. YAN has been stood up by FUNG. She bumps into PO as she is strolling on the street. When they are walking together, an old lady faints on the street. MING wants to make a new TV commercial. When he reads the news of how YAN saved the old lady, he decides to invite her to shoot for the commercial. LUK’s wife, NGAN, tells their daughter that HEI was her true love. LUK overhears their conversation. ANGIE has a traffic accident. Her legs are injured. The whole Cheuk family has come to see her. ANGIE hurts herself again while CHUK is out of town. MEI therefore invites her to recuperate at her place. The bank is holding a premiere for the new commercial. MING makes a speech, but the media is only interested in YUEN and the bank’s recent scandal only.

YAN cheers him up. When they are embracing each other, she can see FUNG peering at them. MAN proposes to SUM as they watch the sun set on the beach. YUEN is working on an acquisition project. MING asks if he can be his assistant and learn from him. MING goes to FUNG’s place to discuss the project. When he gets there, FUNG and YAN are having an argument. MING gives her some words of consolation. She then tells him they have broken up, and that she’s fallen in love with him…MING puts up a proposal that goes against YUEN’s. Learning that YAN has broken up with FUNG, PO decides to go after her. Although YUEN has promised to give ANGIE a lift home, he changes his mind and goes horse riding with his children in the end. ANGIE is so upset that she takes to alcohol and drugs.

MATTHEW goes to YUEN’s place to tell him how ANGIE’s ended up in hospital. YUEN knows very well ANGIE still loves him immensely, but both of them are trying hard to pretend they are no more than good friends. SUM and MAN accompany MEI to buy flowers for the Chinese New Year. MAN bumps into his ex-girlfriend. MEI cannot help but worries SUM will be unhappy. MING shows up out of the blue to save MAN from the predicament. WENDY, NIN’s cousin and YUEN’s secretary, uses ANGIE and YUEN’s cell phones to invite each other to YUEN’s yacht so that NIN can catch them red-handed. When YUEN gets back to the pier, CHUK is already waiting there. YUEN announces over breakfast that he is going to Mumbai for business in the afternoon. MEI does not think it is a good idea, as the Chinese New Year is approaching, NIN, on the contrary, supports him. Mumbai has a terrorist attack.

MEI faints after hearing that the hotel at which YUEN stays has been attacked. When she gets round, she blames NIN for allowing YUEN to go to India. MEI wants to go to India. MING manages to make her change her mind. NIN bumps ANGIE at the airport. Both of them are going to Mumbai. NIN and ANGIE find a man named ROBIN at a local hospital, who claims that YUEN has escaped from the hotel with his help. What they do not know is, YUEN was kidnapped afterwards. The project of taking over Fu Hing Bank goes on. As MS LAI, the woman in charge of Fu Hing Bank, has been killed, YUEN’s colleagues need to re-plan the project. MAN tells FUNG to take care of a task, but FUNG drags his feet. On the other hand, MING drinks with LAI WING-YAN, younger brother of MS LAI. NIN tells SUM the kidnappers have asked for US$50,000,000.

SUM tells MING she has lost contact with NIN. It turns out that NIN and ANGIE have an accident on their way to take the ransom to the kidnappers. NIN has been injured, and ANGIE has gone into a coma. In the meantime, the kidnappers are giving a tough time to YUEN. MEI supports MING’s proposal for taking over Fu Hing Bank. MING tells other directors YUEN has been kidnapped. MEI passes out. NIN has saved the much-tortured YUEN. MING gets a call telling him YUEN has been saved minutes before the contract signing ceremony with Fu Hing Bank is due to take place. PO hopes that MING will tell YAN he does not love her indeed. MING promises him. PO knows YAN will be heartbroken by what MING is going to tell her. So he waits for her at her apartment, only to see MING kissing her.

YUEN opposes to the idea of taking over Fu Hing Bank single-handed. YUEN has a medical checkup, which confirms he is very healthy. After talking to a psychologist, NIN suspects that YUEN is suffering from post-trauma stress syndromes. NIN asks SUM to take care of her two children. SUM agrees readily, as she wants to see if MAN can get along with children. SUM asks NIN’s children to give MAN a hard time, but her scheme does not work out. MAN proposes to SUM. MING, PO and YAN chill out at a bar. PO leaves earlier. Later, he meets FUNG. As PO is very drunk, FUNG puts him up in his place. The next day, FUNG asks PO if he would like to move in. NIN’s two children fight with each other with a plastic sword. NIN loses her temper. YUEN condemns MAN at a directors’ meeting.

NIN plucks up enough courage to tell YUEN he has become another person. MING, who is passing by, overhears their conversation. MING takes YUEN to the bar. SUM and MAN have an argument over their wedding arrangement. They decide to have a motocross competition. Whoever wins will have the ultimate say in the wedding arrangement. MAN’s ex-girlfriend YI LAM has returned to Hong Kong. She tells MAN that their son, whose existence MAN did not know of, needs a marrow transplant. NIN goes to the bank to take YUEN to lunch. WEDNY tells her YUEN has bought an expensive yacht. YUEN sees them. YI LAM calls and tells MAN their son has a fever and is now in the hospital. As he is at the sea right now, he tells FUNG to take care of them. FUNG informs MING that YI LAM has returned to Hong Kong.

YUEN and MING bring a little boy to MAN and SUM’s engagement party. The boy calls MAN Daddy. SUM blames his brother for ruining her party. YUEN gets irritable and threatens to jump into the sea. SUM accepts MAN’s explanation of why he has a son. ANGIE bumps into YUEN, who is drenched. YUEN pours his heart out to her. She gives him some words of comfort, and then they sleep together. YUEN tells NIN he will go to the doctor’s when he is home. LAM has an accident during rehearsal and goes into a coma. MAN therefore has to look after their son for the time being. With the help of a psychologist, YUEN starts to reconstruct his life. NIN is displeased to see that the house has been turned into a playground but then there is nothing she can do about it either. YUEN asks NIN what she thinks about his recent changes but she makes no comments.

YUEN has a fight with MAN. Everybody in the family is pointing their fingers at YUEN, who retorts he was only giving MAN a lesson on behalf of SUM. YUEN takes NIN to go sailing, hoping that she will open her heart to him when they are on their own. YUEN calls ANGIE as soon as he has left NIN, who is in tears. MEI makes YUEN visit HEI’s graveyard with her, her real attention however is to give him a lecture. The board of directors has a discussion on the bank’s plan for the coming year. MING and MAN have very different ideas. Everybody at the bank is talking about SUM and MAN recently. SUM announces on the bank’s intranet that they have broken up. PO makes MING make public his relationship with YAN at a staff activity with a trick. MING discovers that FUNG has helped MAN with his proposal. MING sees YUEN and ANGIE together after playing golf with CHUK.

MING and YAN go out together, during which he gives her many lovely surprises. MING tells FUNG he has made an investment mistake. FUNG reckons MING is using YAN to release false news. The Investment Department has done extraordinary well last year. MING therefore suggests expanding it to a subsidiary of the bank at the board meeting. YUEN and the other board members support the idea. They even let him take charge of the new company. MING hopes FUNG could work as his assistant in the new company. MAN agrees unwillingly. MING is taken aback when YUEN invites MAN to the board. NGAN finds out that LUK has lied to her about having to go for a business trip. When she arrives at the airport, she sees LUK being with a lady. YUEN gives NIN a valentine present before going on a business trip. NIN is excited. YUEN and ANGIE are enjoying each other’s companion in Sabah when NIN shows up suddenly.

Awakened from the shock, NIN returns to Hong Kong. When her family members ask why she has shortened her trip, she says she had lost her passport and so did not go in the end. It is the grand opening of the FMH Investment Limited Company today. MING is determined to make it the most successful department of Cosmo. With WENDY’s maneuver SUM learns that YUEN has gone out a lot with ANGIE recently. SUM hopes ANGIE would cut off her relationship with YUEN, but she refuses to do so. MAN learns from SUM about YUEN and ANGIE’s affair. He then tells MEI. YUEN tells ANGIE he cannot live without her. He also suggests leaving Hong Kong together. YUEN confesses to NIN and proposes a divorce. YUEN and NIN are about to sign the divorce agreement when MEI rushes in to stop them.

MEI takes her grandchildren to school but she is astonished to find the house surrounded by reporters. Rumor has it that the bank has management problems. YUEN wants to return to the bank to sort things out, but MEI insists him stay home to talk NIN out of the idea of divorcing. The bank holds a press conference in response to the recent rumors. MING announces the bank’s performance on his own accord, and manages to stop the rumors from going around. MEI shows up at where CHUK and ANGIE are dining to beg ANGIE to leave YUEN. ANGIE turns her down resolutely. NIN plans to leave for the UK for good with her two children. MEI threatens to fight for the children’s custody. MEI is taking her grandchildren to the airport as SUM and MING appear to stop her. MING has thought of a way to make YUEN leave ANGIE. A woman ANGIE does not know pours liquid on her on the street.

YUEN has been followed by the paparazzi since he is thrown out of the house. He manages to handle them calmly though. YUEN goes to WENDY’s place to look for NIN. He hopes she would give up the idea of going to the UK, saying that she can still see their children if she drops the idea. NIN accepts his suggestion. MING has once said that deposing YUEN could bring YUEN and NIN together. SUM asks him whether this really will work. He tells her it was time to find someone to replace YUEN. SUM goes to MAN’s place to ask him why he has resigned. He tells her the reason, and suggests them going back to each other. MEI and NIN visit the children. They are upset to find ANGIE in the house. CHUK runs into DR LAU, an old friend of his who now lives overseas. DR LAU tells him about MING’s secret. PO panics when CHU asks him about MING and his childhood……

It is dinner time but CHUK still has not returned from fishing. ANGIE drives around to look for him and has an accident on the way. PO is worried to death when MING tells him he has run into CHUK. The next day, CHUK’s dead body has been found on a beach. In the meantime, SUM announces at a press conference that the Board of Directors has decided to appoint CHOI as the Acting CEO, and that MING will take MAN’s place as COO. In order to boost performance, MING demands his staff to promise their clients a 10% returns. MING says over dinner that a Sabah client has invited the executives of the bank to visit Sabah. MING shows SUM around Sabah. Their minds flash back to the past as they dance.

MING does not see SUM at breakfast. LUK tells him SUM has already returned to Hong Kong. MATTHEW invites MAN to join him in the investment bank he now works for. MING tells MEI he has been looked down upon by the others. She offers to support him financially so that he can start up his own business in Sabah. MAN asks NIN whether she is interested in investing in his company. MING tells SUM he is proposing to YAN and hopes that she can accompany him to buy a ring. After they have bought a ring, MING suggests having a rehearsal, during which he expresses his love for her. PO, who has been following MING, cannot stand this and so goes up to pick up a fight with MING.

MING tells SUM he has split up with YAN because he could not get over someone. PO goes to give YAN a few words of comfort. YUEN goes home after returning from a holiday with ANGIE. He tells MEI he has run into NIN, and has agreed to buy her shares. She flies into anger as soon as he has finished. Seeing that ANGIE has overcome the pain of losing her father, FUN brings up the matter of her taking over the law firm again. MEI goes praying for blessings at the Big Buddha. She is a bit surprised to see ANGIE there. Knowing that ANGIE is trying to please her, she decides to make her a fool. The papers report widely on YUEN and ANGIE. They go to MEI’s place to explain to her, only to see MEI speaking ill of her to the paparazzi.

YUEN wants to go over FMH’s books. MING demands FUNG make up fake ones. ANGIE picks up KEI and WAI at school but KEI runs away with WAI. MING tells FUNG and PO that YAN will be appointed Corporate Manager, and that PO will be Assistant Corporate Manager. PO is excited. The bank is organizing a Sedan Chair Charity Race. PO and YAN go to the Peak for a site visit. PO drops his staff card accidentally. KWAN, an old friend of PO’s from Sabah, asks PO for 200,000 dollars. He threatens to make open PO and MING’s real identity if he fails to give him the money. It hurts for SUM to see MAN appear at the Sedan Chair Charity Race with a lady. MING bumps into SUM, who is apparently drunk. She tells him her secrets. KWAN shows up again, this time asking for a million dollars.

PO is at a lost as to what to do. When he sees YUEN at the car park, he goes down on his knee to beg YUEN to lend him a million dollars. In the evening, MING takes PO, who is black and blue, to YUEN’s villa and gives him a serious telling-off in front of YUEN. YUEN tells MING the aim of his recent acquisition is to open up the South Asian market. He adds that he can carry on studying the proposal on his own. With NIN’s efforts, KEI has accepted ANGIE at last. KEI invites ANGIE to her talent show. ANGEI turns down an invitation from an important client because of this. NIN wants to work at MAN’s bank and she has MAN’s full support. FUN tells ANGIE she has offended the client. ANGIE tells him she has decided to quit so that she can spend more time with YUEN and his children. MEI invites ANGIE home to dinner after she has leant about this. MING and SUM have dinner with a client. Both of them have drunk a lot. MING kisses SUM by force.

MING tries hard to explain to SUM, only to be given a harsh telling-off. NIN needs SUM to decide who her true love is. YUEN decides to move back home. MEI is very pleased. SUM is going on a long vacation. MING does not oppose her idea. YUEN is very happy to hear MEI praise ANGIE. The Board of Directors has a heat discussion about whether or not to let YUEN resume his duty. MING tells the other directors YUEN is working on a South Asia project. They therefore decide to let YUEN take care of the bank’s overseas development. SUM is having a holiday in Sabah as MAN shows up suddenly. Worried that their real identity will come to light, PO hopes that MING will stop his plan. YUEN asks MING about MEI’s financial support. PO finds in LUK’s office a speeding notice, which states MING had exceeded the speed limit in Shek O on the day CHUK was found dead.

PO and YAN are making a cake when he says he is returning to Sabah. YAN did not know until then that she has fallen in love with him. Just when SUM is worried to death about MAN’s whereabouts, he shows up suddenly. MAN has bought a fish farm and plans to move there. SUM is being attacked by a snake. MAN is bitten in saving her. YUEN accompanies ANGIE to visit CHUK’s graveyard. He recalls that MING’s speeding notice was issued on the day CHUK died. MING goes to explain to YUEN the same evening PO tells him YUEN has asked about the speeding notice. SUM and MAN announce they are getting married when they get home. MING congratulates them, though deep down he feels miserable. Later, YUEN asks MING why he quit and decided to leave Hong Kong. MING replies he is not sure. MING realizes his real identity will come to light sooner or later. SUM celebrates her getting married soon. As she has drunk a lot, she stays over at the villa……

MAN looks for SUM everywhere and discovers she did not go home last night. NIN goes home with MEI. Mistakenly believes SUM has fallen out with MAN, MEI gives her daughter a telling-off. Provoked, SUM tells MEI she has been raped then rushes out of the house. MEI has a heart attack. MING visits her at the hospital. She tells him and YUEN to support each other. YUEN is speechless. YUEN tells NIN MING is a con man. PO sees YAN on the street and decides to follow her secretly. Meanwhile, YUEN appears. He tells PO MING has raped SUM. PO interrogates MING. The two brothers get into a fight. PO leaves in anger and his car runs into the sea shortly afterwards. MING looks for SUM in the yacht. When she learns that it was he who raped her, she hits him with her all strength. MING falls into a faint.

When MING comes around, he tells SUM he is not his brother, and so it is perfectly all right for them to be lovers. After visiting MEI at the hospital, SUM tells her family members MING did not rape her and that she likes him. YUEN and MING have a talk at the bank which turns out to be an argument. MING swears he will not let YUEN and his family off. FUNG has found the recipe PO has written for YAN. YAN is deeply touched and decides to look for PO in Sabah. Not wanting to see YUEN and MING fighting for the post of CEO, SUM is thinking of taking up the post herself. She asks NIN for opinion. YUEN is angry to see the Board of Directors has decided to appoint SUM as CEO. He leaves the meeting mid-way. MING prevents YUEN from taking SUM home, and the two have yet another argument.

MAN makes things difficult for MING deliberately now that he knows MING is going out with SUM. SUM blames him when she learns about this. MEI wants to patch up YUEN and NIN. SUM enters MING’s office when he is not around but is caught red-handed. MING is thrilled to bits when he learns that SUM is pregnant. YUEN gets the information of MING’s clients from the bank’s mail department. MAN uses the information to persuade MING’s clients into giving up investing with MING. FUNG tells MING they have been losing clients recently and he suspects there is a mole at the bank. MING is determined to revenge YUEN when he sees PO’s picture in FUNG’s house.

SUM wants to buy a new car for their new family. MING bumps into FUNG at a car showroom. He is curious how his wealth came from. MING visits FUNG in the evening. FUNG tells him he has been doing very well in the oil futures market but he believes the oil prices are going to drop soon. MING decides this will be a good opportunity to defeat the bank. Later, he suggests SUM buying oil futures. YUEN and NIN have a chat on the roof. He returns his ring to her, but she hopes they could start over. NIN tells ANGIE what she thinks of her. The oil futures prices have dropped considerately. On behalf of SUM, MING explains to the directors the drop is merely an adjustment to the market. The directors are relieved when he moves on to saying that he will resign should the situation go worse. MEI is irritated when she sees MING and SUM kissing. MAN goes to pick up a fight with MING when he learns about SUM’s pregnancy.

MEI asks YUEN and NIN about MING and SUM. YUEN has no choice but to reveal MING’s real identity. FUNG tells MING the prices of oil futures have dropped by over 50 per cent. MING tells him to continue their plan. The police detain MING for 48 hours regarding CHUK’s death. YUEN and others grasp the opportunity to open MING’s computer file but it is password protected. In the nick of time YUEN recalls his conversation with PO once and finally figures out the password. They persuade MING’s clients one by one, hoping that they would invest in the bank instead. YUEN receives MING’s call. ANGIE goes to the villa to demand an explanation from YUEN. When she arrives, she overhears MING’s plan of hiring someone to kill YUEN. ANGIE informs YUEN there is a bomb in his car in no time then her car goes out of control.

ANGIE has a crash. YUEN is pulling her out of the car when she tells him she can see vividly their wedding on the yacht. She throws up a pool of blood before she finishes. SUM has fainted. MING takes her to the hospital, where he finds out she is not pregnant. Seeing SUM still trying hard to deceive him, he explodes. MING discloses FMH’s swindle. The media flocks to the bank as soon as the news goes out. YUEN receives photos of his family members sent from the kidnappers. He is later ambushed on the boat. SUM, who has been locked up, begs the kidnappers not to hurt her family. MING tells her to follow his instruction instead. MAN learns about the plight SUM is in from her picture message. MING puts SUM into a bathtub, and then lets the water run slowly…

MAN rushes to the villa but SUM is nowhere to be found. The water has covered SUM’s head already. MAN is about to give up his search when he notices that the sprinkler is moving. He turns his attention to the domestic helper’s house. MING tells YUEN he has planted a bomb on the 68th floor, and that If YUEN wants to save his family members, he must come and see him on his own. The police do not let YUEN do so nevertheless. So he holds LUK hostage. MING will release YUEN’s family members if YUEN kills himself. YUEN points the gun at his temple then presses the trigger. After lost in the gunfight with YUEN, MING triggers the time bomb. Meanwhile, YUEN’s voice comes out from the TV screen on the 68th floor…
