After writer BEAN CHAK passed away, his two daughters KWAI-CHI and SYU-YAN and wife SO MEI arrange the funeral together, except his ex-wife MA SZ-NGA, who has not shown up yet. It turns out that the flight that SZ-NGA took could not land due to an accident. Nevertheless, SZ-NGA together with her friends conspire to force the flight to land early so that she can make it to the funeral in time. In order to fulfill her late husband's dream, SO MEI plans to open a cafe by using the property left by her late husband. Although KWAI-CHI agrees with her, SZ-NGA demands SO MEI to pay the rent to her. And obviously, she does not support SO MEI's decision. Since her teens, KWAI-CHI, under her late father's influence, has been good at brewing a fine cup of coffee and possessed with necessary skills and knowledge……

By and by TAK is forced to retire early and stays at home all day with nothing to do. LAI, on the other hand, is lucky enough to have the opportunity to host a culinary show on TV. Everything seems to have happened too fast but this does not leave LAI frustrated and accursed. Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK. The bickering continues until LAI eventually thinks of a good way to tackle TAK…
