Episode 1

After a car accident five years ago, CHIT-HANG has to use wheelchair in his daily life. MEI-CHING believes that CHIT-HANG will not be able to help her for he is disabled. When CHIT-HANG leaves, LAP-FUN recognizes that he is the victim of that car accident but CHIT-HANG doesn’t recognize LAP-FUN at all. LAP-FUN invites YING-SUM to provide information at the police station. YING-SUM reveals that MEI-CHING is LAU YIM’s girlfriend. She also reveals that she is not able to work on that day after getting drunk. LAU MIU worries that her family members will be embroiled in the case. She burns LAU YIM’s drugs and LAU YIM’s people try to chase after her. MEI-CHING finally accepts the help from CHIT-HANG and she is released on bail. MEI-CHING learns that YING-SUM has provided information to the police. She questions her and they end up in discord……

In order to apologize, SHING-YEE borrows money from LAP-FUN and he offers the money to the dead person’s family members but they reject him. CHIT-HANG tries hard to train up MEI-CHING so that she could present herself well during the hearing. LAU MIU takes risk to attend the hearing so that she could speak for MEI-CHING. The prosecution side tries to provide a large amount of evidences but CHIT-HANG overrules them. He points out that LAP-FUN is not objective enough and YING-SUM finally admits that she may have blamed MEI-CHING wrongly. LAP-FUN meets up with CHIT-HANG. After thinking through the case, he decides to support CHIT-HANG in helping MEI-CHING. During the final stage of the hearing, MEI-CHING speaks for herself at the court. She presents herself fluently but the prosecution side suddenly provides some new evidences and MEI-CHING fails to explain it. CHIT-HANG is very shocked and it suddenly seems that they are going to lose.

LAP-FUN accompanies CHIT-HANG to buy daily commodities and he tries to know more about his daily life. CHIT-HANG invites LAP-FUN home and LAP-FUN discovers that somebody has robbed his place. After LAU YIM’s case, LAP-FUN is transferred to WAI-YING’s unit. LAU MIU tries to encourage MEI-CHING by speaking in a radio programme. SHING-YEE is being investigated for killing a hostage carelessly. He seeks help from the police SIU WING-KWONG and WING-KWONG recommends the famous barrister YUNG CHI-CHUNG to speak for him at the court. MEI-CHING’s statement is not favorable to SHING-YEE but CHI-CHUNG questions the validity of her statements for they are contradictory. SHING-YEE is released eventually without any punishments. LAP-FUN is angry that CHIT-HANG’s family members are using him all the time but CHIT-HANG doesn’t mind. LAP-FUN returns to the police station……

MEI-CHING is a tough person and she has got a lot of enemies in the prison. Others even try to frame her up. MEI-CHING finds it unbearable and she tries to hurt herself. After learning about it, CHIT-HANG visits MEI-CHING but he fails to cheer her up. CHIU MAN-FAI is a famous barrister in Hong Kong and she asks CHIT-HANG to follow up a troublesome case for her. In fact, this case was originally handled by CHI-CHUNG. LAP-FUN and his colleagues play tricks to capture the rapist but TO CHEUK-CHI disturbs their plan unexpectedly. SHING-YEE falls in love with CHEUK-CHI at first sight. CHIT-HANG gains the trust of a big client and he is invited to the tycoon MA KAI-YUEN’s party. CHIT-HANG invites LAP-FUN to go together and he gets to know KAI-YUEN. LAP-FUN, on the other hand, meets CHEUK-CHI again at the party. LAP-FUN and SHING-YEE go to capture the offender together but LAP-FUN discovers that SHING-YEE doesn’t have a gun with him.

KAI-YUEN reveals to CHIT-HANG that he was imprisoned before but he worked hard to achieve his goals. CHIT-HANG is very impressed. On the other hand, MEI-CHING is very desperate in the prison but she is deeply touched by a novel from CHIT-HANG and this novel gives her hope. When LAP-FUN and SHING-YEE carry out investigation together, they meet CHEUK-CHI again. LAP-FUN questions SHING-YEE and SHING-YEE reveals that he has disclosed their itinerary to CHEUK-CHI. CHEUK-CHI is working on a report on criminal psychology and she follows LAP-FUN secretly to learn more about the works of a policeman. MEI-CHING is released from the prison. After learning that LAU MIU's grandmother has died, she decides to rent a flat with her. MEI-CHING fails to find a job. She goes to the pub to sell beer with LAU MIU and she meets LAU YIM's subordinates again……

CHEUK-CHI's father TO YEE-HANG is the biggest property developer in Hong Kong and KAI-YUEN is his business partner as well. LAP-FUN and WAI-YING meet YEE-HANG. YEE-HANG invites them to have dinner together. SHING-YEE is fond of CHEUK-CHI. After learning that LAP-FUN has dined with CHEUK-CHI's father, he immediately asks LAP-FUN to inform him if he is going to meet CHEUK-CHI again. MEI-CHING decides to start anew and she earns a living by cleaning people's cars. CHIT-HANG discovers it and he invites her to work at his office. CHAK-CHUEN is YEE-HANG's old friend and he is KAI-YUEN's business competitor. KAI-YUEN wants to take over CHAK-CHUEN's place and MAN-FAI believes that he has to gain trust from YEE-HANG first. LAP-FUN arrives at KAI-YUEN's office to visit CHIT-HANG and he meets MEI-CHING there but MEI-CHING treats him coldly. CHIT-HANG goes shopping with MEI-CHING. He reveals to MEI-CHING that LAP-FUN is very ashamed of himself...

MEI-CHING visits CHIT-HANG at his place and she tries to find out the way to take care of a disabled person from related organization. VINCENT falls in love with MEI-CHING and he decides to pursue her. After learning about it, CHIT-HANG tries to keep a distance from MEI-CHING. LAP-FUN meets CHEUK-CHI when he returns to the police station and CHEUK-CHI invites him to have lunch together. SHING-YEE blames LAP-FUN for taking away his woman. In fact, LAP-FUN pretends to be dating with his colleague MAN-BING in front of CHEUK-CHI so that CHEUK-CHI will give him up. Somebody tries to threaten the stock analyst CHING-WAH by splashing paint on his wife's car. LAP-FUN immediately carries out investigation but CHING-WAH asks him to stop it. LAP-FUN follows CHING-WAH secretly. CHING-WAH is suddenly kidnapped and SHING-YEE is involved in the case as well……

KAI-YUEN is embroiled in a money laundering case. MAN-FAI asks CHIT-HANG to be the defense barrister for KAI-YUEN. On the other hand, MEI-CHING gradually lets go of the past and becomes friends with LAP-FUN. SHING-YEE seems to have a lot of money suddenly after the kidnapping case of CHING-WAH and LAP-FUN is suspicious. SHING-YEE offers the police's insider information to CHEUK-CHI so that CHEUK-CHI could finish her thesis. YEE-HANG and his wife witness them coincidentally. KA-LEI misconceives that CHEUK-CHI is fond of SHING-YEE. CHI-CHUNG is jealous for CHIT-HANG is recognized by others. He plays tricks on MEI-CHING so as to upset CHIT-HANG. CHIT-HANG carries out investigation on KAI-YUEN's case and he checks out the past newspaper clippings related to the councilor and the gang leader KWONG KING-CHEONG. During the investigation, he discovers some important information of MEI-CHING's case as well……

MAN-FAI asks CHI-CHUNG to replace CHIT-HANG for KAI-YUEN's case. CHI-CHUNG humiliates CHIT-HANG and CHIT-HANG tries to figure out why MAN-FAI is losing trust on him. After learning about the case, MEI-CHING cooks for CHIT-HANG for she wants him to know that she will support him always. LAP-FUN and MAN-BING follow CHING-WAH secretly and they discover that CHING-WAH is trying to commit suicide. LAP-FUN rescues CHING-WAH and persuades him to be a prosecution witness. SHING-YEE knows that he will have no prospect by working as a policeman and he tries to persuade YEE-HANG to hire him. CHEUK-CHI reveals to YEE-HANG that she is not dating with SHING-YEE and she invites SHING-YEE to meet up at KAI-YUEN's restaurant. SHING-YEE discovers in the restaurant that LAU YIM and WING-KWONG are related. Arranged by the police, CHING-WAH hides away in the safe house but he is discovered and somebody attacks him……

The gangster stuns LAP-FUN and captures CHING-WAH. LAP-FUN is fine but WAI-YING believes that there is a spy in their unit. WAI-YING asks LAP-FUN to invite WING-KWONG to the police station for investigation. WING-KWONG's boss KING-CHEONG arrives with his lawyer and WAI-YING releases WING-KWONG reluctantly. SHING-YEE starts working at YEE-HANG's company and he keeps pursuing CHEUK-CHI. After learning that CHEUK-CHI is being disturbed by SHING-YEE, YEE-HANG fires him. The police find CHING-WAH but CHING-WAH refuses to be the prosecution witness and KAI-YUEN wins the money laundering case eventually. CHIT-HANG supports organizing a sports day for the disabled and he asks LAP-FUN to help finding a sponsor. CHEUK-CHI learns about it and she invites CHIT-HANG to meet up with YEE-HANG. SHING-YEE is not able to pay his debt and he decides to seek help from WING-KWONG……

LAP-FUN doesn't want SHING-YEE to get into real trouble. He asks his colleague to inform SHING-YEE that he is being investigated and he hopes that SHING-YEE will repent. CHIT-HANG successfully convinces YEE-HANG to support the sports day for the disabled but KAI-YUEN is upset that CHIT-HANG tries to get in touch with YEE-HANG directly. SHING-YEE tries to borrow money from CHEUK-CHI and LAP-FUN goes to look for SHING-YEE at the meeting location. SHING-YEE has recorded WING-KWONG's words and the police know that he has committed crime. WING-KWONG agrees to be the prosecution witness reluctantly but KAI-YUEN discovers it and he helps WING-KWONG to run away secretly. After losing WING-KWONG, WAI-YING is quite certain that there is a spy in their team. After helping KAI-YUEN, CHIT-HANG receives an expensive residential unit from him. CHIT-HANG checks out the place with MEI-CHING and he invites her to live with him.

ICAC Officers arrive to carry out investigation on WAI-YING's team since SHING-YEE has received a large amount of money and they suspect that somebody has bribed him. MEI-CHING worries that LAU MIU will be lonely and she decides to move to CHIT-HANG's place with her. CHIT-HANG wishes that LAU MIU will take MEI-CHING as her role model and get rid of her bad habits. SHING-YEE keeps hiding away and LAP-FUN fails to find him. CHEUK-CHI receives a letter from SHING-YEE. She is worried and she goes out to meet up with him alone. When they are meeting up, LAP-FUN suddenly arrives. SHING-YEE believes that CHEUK-CHI has betrayed him and he runs away. LAP-FUN stops him from going and he asks him to face the reality. SHING-YEE worries that he will be imprisoned and he leaves. CHEUK-CHI discovers that SHING-YEE is jumping down from a building and she cries madly.

LAP-FUN believes that KING-CHEONG might have contributed to SHING-YEE's death and he tries to raid his place regularly. KING-CHEONG thinks that KAI-YUEN is the one who created all the troubles to him. CHEUK-CHI feels that she is responsible for SHING-YEE's death and she refuses to meet up with anybody. YEE-HANG is worried and he urges KA-LEI to give up her job and take good care of CHEUK-CHI. LAU MIU goes to her old home to venerate the ancestors and she meets her elder brother LAU YIM who is now wanted by the police. LAU YIM wants to know the whereabouts of MEI-CHING but LAU MIU tries not to tell him. KING-CHEONG is very nervous to learn that LAU YIM has returned to Hong Kong and he wants to meet up with KAI-YUEN urgently but KAI-YUEN tries to keep a distance from him. KA-LEI and YEE-HANG's relationship is not good. She keeps visiting KAI-YUEN with excuse but KAI-YUEN tries to keep a distance from her……

MEI-CHING agrees to marry CHIT-HANG and she is very happy. LAU YIM suddenly arrives. While trying to look for MEI-CHING, LAP-FUN meets LAU YIM and they start a gun fight. CHEUK-CHI has recovered from the trauma but YEE-HANG still forces KA-LEI to stay with her all the time. CHEUK-CHI meets an old friend and KA-LEI seizes the chance to visit KAI-YUEN at his restaurant but KAI-YUEN asks her to leave. KA-LEI leaves from the back door and she discovers that YEE-HANG is arriving to meet up with KAI-YUEN. YEE-HANG is worried for LAU YIM has returned to Hong Kong. KAI-YUEN regards LAU YIM as his brother and he decides to help him escape. Before his departure, LAU YIM tries to contact MEI-CHING again for he wants to tell her a secret.

LAU YIM is captured by some killers while trying to leave Hong Kong by boat and he is forced to get into a car. LAP-FUN and the others chase after them. The news report says that LAU YIM has died. LAU MIU and MEI-CHING are very shocked. KAI-YUEN knows that those killers are KING-CHEONG's people and he negotiates with him. MEI-CHING and LAP-FUN carry out investigation at an illegal clinic but they fail to find any useful information. When MEI-CHING returns home, LAU YIM captures her and he reveals the truth behind her imprisonment to her. YEE-HANG is drawn to the pier and LAU YIM abducts him with a gun. When LAU YIM tries to run away with YEE-HANG's yacht, CHIT-HANG is actually following him and he starts a fight with him. LAU YIM dies. CHIT-HANG returns home and he discovers that MEI-CHING has already got the evidence to prove that he has betrayed her. CHIT-HANG knows that he cannot hide anymore and he reveals the truth to MEI-CHING……

MEI-CHING runs away and LAU MIU also leaves CHIT-HANG's place. CHIT-HANG wants MEI-CHING to forgive him but MEI-CHING wants a separation. CHEUK-CHI cannot concentrate on her work after the death of SHING-YEE and she seeks help from LAP-FUN. MEI-CHING lives together with LAU MIU. She meets her old friend YING-SUM on the street and she discovers that YING-SUM is beaten up by her husband. LAP-FUN helps CHIT-HANG to date MEI-CHING but MEI-CHING leaves immediately upon seeing CHIT-HANG. CHIT-HANG doesn't want to give up and he decides to organize the wedding ceremony according to schedule. All guests arrive to congratulate CHIT-HANG but MEI-CHING is absent. LAP-FUN tries to console CHIT-HANG and he suddenly gets an important evidence of LAU YIM's case. When CHIT-HANG leaves the wedding venue, MEI-CHING suddenly appears...

MEI-CHING finally marries CHIT-HANG and she moves to his place. LAP-FUN checks out the CCTV record of CHIT-HANG's place and he suspects that CHIT-HANG is hiding something away from him. KAI-YUEN misses KA-LEI and he resorts to alcohol. He recalls the time when they separated with each other and he drives to the place. Surprisingly, KA-LEI is there. YEE-HANG wants CHEUK-CHI to stay away from LAP-FUN and he goes travelling with her. CHIT-HANG knows that LAP-FUN finds him suspicious and he reveals the truth behind MEI-CHING's imprisonment to him. He also suggests that he could be an informer for LAP-FUN. MEI-CHING learns from the TV news that LAU MIU's place is on fire and she goes to rescue her alone. MEI-CHING wants LAU MIU to move to CHIT-HANG's place and CHIT-HANG has no objection. LAU MIU finally agrees to live with them.

CHIT-HANG's younger brother CHIT-MING knows that CHIT-HANG is very successful and he urges CHIT-HANG to sponsor him in setting up a new business. CHIT-HANG rejects him but MEI-CHING persuades him to offer help for she wants to amend his relationship with the family. CHIT-HANG wants to improve LAP-FUN's relationship with CHEUK-CHI. He encourages LAP-FUN to face his feelings and he messages CHEUK-CHI to remind her that she should keep contact with LAP-FUN. LAP-FUN discovers from CHEUK-CHI's photo that she is in Hong Kong already. CHEUK-CHI is caught in an accident at the hill and LAP-FUN arrives to rescue her on time. CHEUK-CHI keeps persuading YEE-HANG and YEE-HANG finally allows her to meet up with LAP-FUN. CHIT-HANG discovers that KAI-YUEN is always missing and he decides to find out the reason by visiting MAN-FAI. He is surprised to discover that MAN-FAI is living with her boyfriend……

When WAI-YING is having dim sum with LAP-FUN, they meet CHIT-HANG and the others coincidentally. CHIT-HANG realizes that WAI-YING is the main obstacle in LAP-FUN's love affair. CHIT-HANG discusses the issue with MEI-CHING and they decide to organize a hotpot gathering. When everybody is drunk, CHIT-HANG seizes the chance to scold WAI-YING angrily for being stubborn. When KAI-YUEN is celebrating KA-LEI's birthday, CHIT-HANG's private detective tries to take pictures of them. CHIT-HANG then gives YEE-HANG the pictures. KAI-YUEN and KA-LEI are attacked by some gangsters. KAI-YUEN realizes that YEE-HANG should have known their relationship and KA-LEI is beaten up by YEE-HANG fiercely. YEE-HANG discovers that the media is making up stories about his marriage crisis. In order to maintain his reputation, YEE-HANG tries to organize a press briefing. He forces KA-LEI to attend and tell everybody that their marriage life is fine……

KAI-YUEN forces YEE-HANG to divorce KA-LEI. He plans to run to South Africa with KA-LEI but KA-LEI rejects him and asks him to take revenge for her instead. YEE-HANG comes to a dead end because of KAI-YUEN and CHIT-HANG seizes the chance to offer support to YEE-HANG. KAI-YUEN wants YEE-HANG to lose everything and he refuses to return his criminal evidence as promised. During the time, MAN-FAI tries to buy other criminal evidence of YEE-HANG from his former secretary but CHIT-HANG and KING-CHEONG try to stop it. KAI-YUEN is being framed for killing somebody. MEI-CHING learns that CHIT-HANG is helping LAP-FUN to carry out investigation on KAI-YUEN. She appreciates and trusts him very much. With the help of MAN-FAI, KAI-YUEN plans to run away but KA-LEI decides to stay with YEE-HANG. MAN-FAI discovers that KAI-YUEN did not leave according to schedule for he is devastated by KA-LEI's betrayal.

KAI-YUEN tries to commit suicide. He is being rescued but he loses consciousness. YEE-HANG is overjoyed that he has eliminated KAI-YUEN. CHIT-HANG has contributed a lot and YEE-HANG invites him to work at his company. CHEUK-CHI discovers about KA-LEI and KAI-YUEN's affair from the news. YEE-HANG reveals to her that KA-LEI had committed adultery. CHIT-HANG discovers that LAP-FUN is still very upset for not being able to sue KAI-YUEN long time ago. He worries that his plan will be discovered eventually and he asks his spy in the police force to leave. CHEUK-CHI finishes her studies on criminal psychology and she decides to join the police force. WAI-YING tries to test if CHEUK-CHI really loves LAP-FUN and she finally accepts their romantic relationship. CHIT-MING steals money from the company and MEI-CHING discovers it. LAU MIU learns about it as well and she informs CHIT-HANG. CHIT-HANG forces CHIT-MING to return the money to MEI-CHING.

With the help of Identification Bureau, LAP-FUN tries to investigate the wallet given by CHIT-HANG and he discovers his trick. KAI-YUEN wakes up and LAP-FUN rushes to the hospital to question him but KAI-YUEN appears to be mad. LAP-FUN worries that his relationship with CHEUK-CHI will become an obstacle for his investigation works. He wants to separate with her but he doesn't know how to tell her. CHEUK-CHI learns about it accidentally and she becomes very emotional. LAP-FUN seizes the chance to keep a distance from her. The doctor tells CHIT-HANG that he has a chance to recover. When CHIT-HANG is having body check, LAP-FUN tries to put something in his mobile phone with colleagues from Identification Bureau. CHEUK-CHI keeps visiting LAP-FUN but LAP-FUN refuses to meet her. She worries that YEE-HANG will object the relationship and she tries not to share her worries with him. YEE-HANG meets up with CHIT-HANG secretly……

LAP-FUN persuades MAN-FAI to help the police for he wants to get YEE-HANG's secret from KAI-YUEN. CHIT-HANG discovers that CHEUK-CHI is out of her mind. He asks MEI-CHING to check out her personal belongings and MEI-CHING discovers that she is keeping a large quantity of psychotropic drugs. MAN-FAI and LAP-FUN work together to get information from KAI-YUEN. They finally get hints of YEE-HANG's criminal evidence. YEE-HANG learns that the police may find his criminal evidence and he asks CHIT-HANG to find it before them. CHIT-HANG worries that LAP-FUN will report YEE-HANG's criminal evidence to everybody and he suggests YEE-HANG to hide away in another country first. After meeting up with LAP-FUN, CHEUK-CHI is missing. LAP-FUN finds CHEUK-CHI eventually in a holiday house but CHEUK-CHI has lost her consciousness already after taking too much drugs……

LAP-FUN decides to marry CHEUK-CHI and WAI-YING cannot bear to scold him. YEE-HANG decides to transform LAP-FUN into a business genius so that he will be a good match of CHEUK-CHI and he assigns the task to CHIT-HANG. CHIT-HANG visits MEI-CHING at her office but he discovers CHIT-MING saying bad things about him secretly. LAP-FUN doesn't want to quit his job in the police force and he tries to convince YEE-HANG with CHEUK-CHI. WAI-YING scolds LAP-FUN for sacrificing justice for his own benefits. LAP-FUN eventually moves to YEE-HANG's place. CHIT-HANG brings LAP-FUN to join high-society activities. All the senior management of the police force try to please him. KING-CHEONG sells some suspicious products of unknown origin to CHIT-MING at low price. Officers from the Customs office arrive to investigate MEI-CHING's company and they capture CHIT-MING for selling stolen products……

In order to gain MEI-CHING's trust again, CHIT-HANG lies to her and explains that LAU MIU's accusations are not true. There is a vacancy in the OCTB and everybody believes that WAI-YING will be promoted but the senior management promotes LAP-FUN to be the senior inspector instead. MEI-CHING feels that CHIT-HANG is becoming cold-blooded and she discusses it with LAP-FUN. CHIT-HANG discovers from the hidden camera that there is a water leak at home and he returns hurriedly. MEI-CHING is surprised that CHIT-HANG knows it. She discovers that CHIT-HANG has been telling lies. MEI-CHING and LAU MIU discover the hidden camera at home. MEI-CHING tries not to question CHIT-HANG. On the contrary, she sends him present to show her care. LAP-FUN meets up with CHIT-HANG and he reveals that MEI-CHING has been worrying. He suggests lying to MEI-CHING together but MEI-CHING and LAU MIU discover their trick.

CHIT-HANG realizes that MEI-CHING has discovered what he had done. MEI-CHING and LAU MIU cannot accept to live with CHIT-HANG anymore and they decide to move out. In order to amend his relationship with MEI-CHING, CHIT-HANG hires a barrister to file an appeal for CHIT-MING who is already in jail. He also decides to give up his barrister job. CHIT-HANG sends his resignation to YEE-HANG so that he will not be liable for the crimes he has committed and YEE-HANG is very angry. WAI-YING discovers that LAP-FUN and YEE-HANG are colluding with the senior management of the police force. She brings LAP-FUN to his father's grave to question him. YEE-HANG reveals to LAP-FUN that CHIT-HANG has resigned and LAP-FUN reveals CHIT-HANG's weakness to YEE-HANG. CHIT-MING is released from jail and he speaks for CHIT-HANG. MEI-CHING finally decides to forgive CHIT-HANG and leaves Hong Kong with him……

LAU MIU learns that CHIT-HANG has taken over KAI-YUEN's real estate company and she tells MEI-CHING but MEI-CHING insists that she has separated with CHIT-HANG already. CHIT-HANG worries that YEE-HANG will harm MEI-CHING and he asks LAU MIU's boyfriend to help taking her abroad. YEE-HANG wants to test if LAP-FUN is loyal to him and he asks LAP-FUN to destroy the criminal evidence so that KING-CHEONG's subordinate will be released. CHIT-HANG doesn't want to be manipulated by YEE-HANG all the time. He asks LAP-FUN to collaborate with him and fights against YEE-HANG together. After investigation, LAP-FUN discovers that YEE-HANG's criminal evidences are saved in his personal computer but he needs a login password to get the data. CHIT-HANG meets up with KA-LEI secretly to ask for her help. LAP-FUN sneaks into YEE-HANG's room in the night to steal the data in his computer. CHEUK-CHI wakes up and discovers it……

CHEUK-CHI and LAP-FUN start a fight at the staircases. YEE-HANG is awaken by the noise and he starts a fight with LAP-FUN. CHEUK-CHI tries to stop it and she falls down from the staircases. The doctor says that CHEUK-CHI will become vegetative and YEE-HANG put the blame of LAP-FUN. YEE-HANG is captured by the police for investigation. LAP-FUN's supervisor reveals that CHIT-HANG has agreed to be the prosecution witness. CHIT-HANG is worried about MEI-CHING and he asks the police to protect her but his request is being rejected.
