Season 1 · Episode 1
Viggo had just finished celebrating his promotion with friends and family when he took his daughter Christina to buy ice cream. When he left the shop, the trolley was empty, and Christina has been missing ever since.
A man is found stabbed to death, tied to a tree. Detective Viggo Lust suspects the mans raven-tattoo is important. Still he can't help himself suspecting this case has something to do with the vanishing of his own daughter five years ago.
An old woman is found dead and the victim's daughter has had a hunch something bad has happened. Viggo shows no mercy while ridiculing her and her belief in the super natural and refuses to investigate the case. Viggo is disillusioned and takes a few days off work, letting his partner, Mari Friis, lead the investigation. But Viggo is still being haunted by his dreams and when it is proved the woman was actually murdered, Viggo must face his demons. In a conversation with the victim's daughter he realizes his dreams might lead to finding Christina.
Viggo and Mari start working together on the Christina-case, turning stone by stone once again. Maris positive attitude makes Viggo think in new directions, following new paths. Meanwhile Viggo and Mari find themselves hunting casuals and Viggo is not yet familiar with handling his dreams, which puts him in serious trouble.
Mari has found a mistake in Viggo's investigation and a pedophile suspect has been in Oslo the day Christina disappeared. A fierce hunt starts bringing Viggo closer to the final puzzle. Viggo has the wrong suspect, but he starts to understand that the final solution might be closer than he thought.
Mari is getting brutally beaten in a robbery of a gold smith and needs to take a few days off work with a head injury. With lots of spare time, she learns that Viggos ex-wife might not be as innocent as thought, but she is afraid to reveille her new knowledge to Viggo, who is finally starting to work it out with his colleagues whom he has mistreated for years. But as Viggo solves the robbery, the thoughts of someone close to him being responsible of Christina's disappearance cannot let go and Viggo is yet again the bloodhound he used to be.
Viggo realize that his ex wife's new boyfriend has been in the area when Christina disappeared and starts looking for clues. With one focus on his mind, he can't behave at work and decides to leave the police force. But his suspicions are right and he manage to prove that Haavard, the ex wife's new boyfriend, might be the right suspect and this is even more proven when they find a hair from Christina in his car.
Haavard is taken into custody as the prime suspect of Christina's disappearance. Viggo, who left the force, is not allowed taking part of the investigation, decides to find Christina on his own. Certain that she has drowned; he begins to dive in lakes in the area, a hunt that might kill him being reckless while diving. Meanwhile, Haavard refuses to have anything to do with the disappearance of Christina, bringing Viggo closer and closer to the abyss. Eventually, Viggo breaks in to custody, interrogating Haavard himself, only to learn that Haavard might be innocent
Viggo is saved in the last minute, and while floating between life and death; Viggo dreams that Haavard is dead. Telling Mari about his theory, Mari is getting scared of Viggo as his concern turns out right. Haavard is found dead on the cell, but everybody expect it to be suicide because of the guilt of being Christina's killer. Viggo refuses to let it go, only to be suspected of killing Haavard, while he is getting closer and closer of solving what happened to Christina.
Viggo is on the run from the law, and theories of him being involved in Christina's disappearance. Meanwhile Viggo learns what happened to Christina, but the truth might never be told, as Viggo is in mighty danger in the final episode of the Third Eye.
