Meanwhile, Maddie tries to teach Josh a lesson when he tries to impress Trent by learning CPR.
Cristela is thrilled to be filling in as Trent's assistant for the week since it comes along with pay. But Josh points out the road to a successful lawyer might not be best met by taking the secretary route. Meanwhile back at home, Daniela and CRISTELA learn of a missed call from Natalia's doctor and immediately fear the worst -- which prompts them to come up with a "Bucket List" for Natalia - they feel bad that she hasn't been able to experience much of what life has to offer
Trent is pained when it's revealed that he and Veronica (Roseanne Barr) do not have a prenuptial agreement; Cristela ends up acting as Trent and Veronica's marriage counselor; Daniela finds out a story Felix told her is a lie.
Cristela tries to help Isabella get into a school program for the gifted and talented; Trent punishes Maddie after she gets into another accident.
Cristela’s loyalties to both home and work are tested when she promises to be Henry’s sponsor for his confirmation ceremony and Trent asks her to be by his side at a fundraising event. Then, after Maddie posts a video online and Trent is seen in the background making what are perceived as racist comments, he holds a press conference in an attempt to clear his name.

It's a family crisis when Natalia goes into "Village Mode" -- which is similar to survival mode, demanding that Cristela put off the test and get a job at the local hair salon. Cristela, Maddie and Josh eagerly await the results of the bar exam. Much to everyone's surprise, Maddie passes while Josh does not. Cristela also passes the exam and Trent offers her an attorney position at his law firm that comes along with an added perk of hiring an assistant. Faced with moving back in with his parents, Josh eagerly accepts the assistant gig. An ecstatic Cristela returns home to celebrate, but is lovingly confronted by Daniela who wants Cristela to move out and start living the life of a single girl, the life she deserves.

It was produced by Hartswood Films and was shown on ITV for Series 1-2 and Channel 4 for Series 3. It was written by Simon Nye, who also wrote other ITV sitcoms such as Men Behaving Badly and Hardware.

The Brothers García is an American sitcom that premiered in 2000 on Nickelodeon and ended in 2004. It was among the first projects of Sí TV, an effort to produce programming featuring Latino characters, however being aimed at a diverse audience. The series was billed as the first English-language sitcom to have an all Latino cast and creative team. The series aired on the programming block Nick on CBS from September 18, 2004 to September 17, 2005, where the series ended its initial run. Reruns on The N started on April 7, 2008, and ended in May 23, 2008. Similarities to the series could be made to the style of The Wonder Years and Everybody Hates Chris, with an older version of the main character narrating each episode in a witty and sarcastic manner.

A Different World is a spin-off series from The Cosby Show and originally centered on Denise Huxtable and the life of students at Hillman College, a fictional mixed but historically black college in the state of Virginia. After Bonet's departure in the first season, the remainder of the series primarily focused more on Southern belle Whitley Gilbert and mathematics whiz Dwayne Wayne. The series frequently depicted members of the major historically black fraternities and sororities.
