Thriller is a British television series, originally broadcast in the UK from 1973 to 1976. It is an anthology series: each episode has a self-contained story and its own cast. As the title suggests, each story is a thriller of some variety, from tales of the supernatural to down-to-earth whodunits.

Motel Melati was originally an old Dutch colonial estate which was converted into an inn. The house was once owned by a local doctor named Kusno, who secretly performed inhumane experiments on cadavers. After the arrival of Melati, a young village girl who has occult knowledge and does not believe in folklore, it is revealed that the house and its inhabitants are cursed by the spirits of the dead. By accepting the shadow's curse, Melati gains eternal life and hopes to bring her children back to life.

Delinquent Juu Juuzawa is a lone wolf who does not see much use in befriending people. So when a girl named Ame Ochibana claims they are linked together from their previous lives, he is highly skeptical and doesn't want anything to do with her. In the police's effort to crack down on Cheng Long Group, several policemen and policewomen shed their blood; however, Cheng Long Group, with great ties in politics and business through money, is not so easy to be destroyed. In the process, Cheng-Hsien found out that Tien-Fu Liu was the person who killed his father. In the meantime, another serious crime takes place and Cheng-Hsien, who has been utterly devoted to his job, immediately engages in a battle with the criminals so as to defend justice against evil and injustice.
