Hong Kong Chinese barrister CHUNG CHEUK-MAN is well renowned in the legal field as well as in the local community. With his special status in Hong Kong, even the newly appointed Colonial Secretary ROBERTSON holds him in high regard. MAN’s second wife, YEE-YIN, also a former princess of the fallen Qing Dynasty, gets insulted by a local rich man and a Caucasian guy in public. Seriously offended, MAN gives the men a lecture at once and urges the westerner to apologize to YIN in Chinese. MAN’s first and third wives, KOO SUM-LAN and YIK YEE-FONG, who have been waiting for YIN in the temple for a whole day, are starting to lose their temper. During his meeting with ROBERTSON, MAN is asked to help lobby the Hong Kong Chinese Business Association (HKCBA) to stop the price gouging on rice……
