Season 1 · Episode 1
After her marriage ends in scandal, Amanda Vaughn returns to her hometown with her two teenagers, but not everyone is happy to see her.
Amanda worries that Laura will be branded as less-than-pretty at school. Gigi throws a luncheon to reintroduce Amanda to society, Carlene plots revenge against Amanda, while Sharon wonders about Zach.
Things heat up when a church relationship seminar forces Amanda to confront her past while Heather sets her eyes on her new client and former high school nerd, Andrew. Meanwhile Carlene meddles in both Sharon’s and Cricket’s marriages to deflect from her own marital dissatisfaction.
When Carlene’s Uncle Burl returns to town with his wife, Bitsy, Gigi promises to throw them a homecoming party requiring guests to come dressed as their favorite Texan. Meanwhile Blake recruits Amanda to consult for Cricket and Blake’s denim line, Pastor Tudor counsels Sharon and Zack during their rough patch -- resulting in Sharon’s working at the church and Zach’s taking over Sharon’s duties at home -- and Heather is after Burl’s 500 acres of land for her client, Andrew.
Heather brings Sheryl Crow to perform at the annual church fundraiser with a little help from her client and new love interest, Andrew, but it's Gigi who steals the show with Burl, while Carlene and Amanda find another reason to disagree with each other.
Sharon is furious when Luke talks Carlene into making Amanda matron of honor for their vow-renewal ceremony. Heather wants to be forgiven, and Blake has a special request for Cricket.
The Pastor surprises everyone with an assignment to get frisky. Burl propose to Gigi, and Amanda accepts a job at the church. Sharon finds a weight-loss secret.
Pastor Tudor's rivalry with Reverend Steve has Amanda taking charge of a church musical. Sharon takes her weight loss to the next level by recruiting Gigi to help.
When Amanda tries to put together an all female barbeque team to prove a point to her daughter, she recruits the helps of the GCBs for the cook-off of the year. Meanwhile Heather meets an attractive butcher, Cricket purchases stud services from businessman Mason Massey, Carlene becomes frustrated with Ripp, and Sharon tries to help Zack with his dealership problems.
When Carlene takes the GCBs down to unincorporated Juarez for the groundbreaking ceremony for the Condos for Christian Living, the GCBs find themselves in danger. Meanwhile Amanda's suspicions regarding Luke lead to a surprising discovery about Ripp.
A boy vanishes, and no one can find him. An open-and-shut case, except there are no leads. Three hundred people around him, and no one saw anything?
