Episode 1

At the hospital, CHUEN discovers that TSZ’s ID card is different from him and he believes that TSZ is an illegal immigrant. CHING LAN FUN catches a customer who fails to pay for his food and her mother TAM LAN CHING asks this person to wash the dishes as compensation. While delivering takeaway food, FAN meets a coquettish housemaid and she leaves a deep impression on him. TSZ sneaks away from the hospital and he meets FAN accidentally. TSZ makes up a life story and asks FAN to help him. FAN meets the housemaid again but she has become a secretary. TSZ tries to return to the 21st century through the wardrobe but his plan fails. He reluctantly returns to the street food stall with FAN. TSZ’s living style is very different from all the other tenants and he has conflicts with them all the time. CHUEN is attracted by the new tenant SO FUNG NI who works as a nurse……

FAN goes to work in the kitchen of a big house but he accidentally uses the expensive bighead carp as the ingredient for cooking and the chef is very angry. FAN goes to apologize to his boss LAU but he accidentally discovers that NI is there. Sergeant WING accuses TSZ for sexual harassment and FAN arrives to bail him out. TSZ wanders at the street food stalls. He plays tricks on the stall owners so that they all reveal their real faces in the front of everybody. The stall owners are enraged and they chases after TSZ. TSZ discovers that FAN has decided to join the kickboxing contest in order to get the bonus for him… WING goes to the food stalls to collect bribes. TSZ accuses him for committing corruption. WING is enraged and he points his gun towards TSZ… CHUEN tries to give a difficult performance to please NI but NI ignores him. NI is surprised to find that FAN and CHING close their stalls much earlier than normal days……

FAN and TSZ go to find a job together. TSZ believes that he can find a perfect job with his qualifications but the result disappoints him. FAN meets NI again when delivering goods. NI dresses like a housemaid again and she seems to be intimidated by boss KWAN. FAN tells TSZ about this and TSZ realizes NI’s true face. NI cheats in front of boss CHEUNG. TSZ and FAN try to unmask her with the help of boss LAU and KWAN. TSZ wants to reveal NI’s real identity to all the tenants but FAN stops him. TSZ suspects that FAN has fallen in love with NI and he wonders if NI is his real mother. FAN meets up with TSZ after delivering things to LEUNG TING DOR. During the time, WING and his people suddenly come to capture them. This is because DOR’s valuable teapot is missing and WING is carrying out investigation… DOR is ashamed for FAN and TSZ are being tortured because of him……

DOR recommends FAN and TSZ to work as salesmen in a department store. While talking to LAN FUN, NI discovers that CHUEN and LAN CHING are always fighting with each other. NI therefore decides to cheat on them. NI lies to CHING that she is going to marry a tycoon and she wants her to act as her mother. On the other hand, NI asks CHUEN to pretend that he is her husband so as to scare away her chasers. NI brings buyers to CHUEN and CHING’s shop respectively and she gets money successfully by cheating. In order to avoid meeting FAN and TSZ, NI meets the two buyers accidentally. FAN doesn’t want the two buyers to hurt NI so he returns the money to them. NI is enraged and she blames them for embroiling her younger sister FUNG LIN. TSZ and FAN discover that the clothes on the mannequin are missing. They search around and find LIN inside the warehouse. LIN just arrives from Mainland China. FAN finds her pitiful so he brings her to breakfast……

NI learns that somebody has captured LIN. She reveals to FAN and TSZ that LIN is trying to escape from a marriage with the gang leader SHORT-LEG TIGER arranged by their father. Son from a rich family, SHING SHAP YEE, goes shopping at the department store with his wife and concubine. TSZ pleases him successfully. NI tries to play tricks so that TIGER will give up marrying LIN but WING passes by and destroys her plan. Manager of the department store blames FAN and TSZ for being lazy. TSZ discovers that he is the 2008 tycoon CHENG KWAN MIN and he decides to please him. CHUEN deliberately lets FAN and TSZ see him preparing wanton at night. TSZ sees through his mind and states that he is never going to reveal his secret recipe to FAN… LIN is penniless and she has nowhere to go. She eventually goes to CHUEN’s stall to eat wanton noodle and pays the bill by washing the dishes for him……

LIN is upset for NI tries to mesmerize the male customers at the restaurant. NI reveals to LIN that she is actually a swindler and she asks LIN to join her. CHUEN finds LIN very attractive after dressing up and he decides to pursue her. MIN blames FAN for causing harm to the company because of YEE and he requests FAN to compensate for their loss. FAN starts raising money to pay the debts without letting TSZ know. NI and CHING discover that CHUEN is interested in LIN and they join together to stop him. LIN decides to quit the job. In order to avoid her from leaving, CHUEN suddenly proposes marriage to her. LIN reveals to NI and the others that she has agreed to marry CHUEN. Everybody is shocked. LIN visits the fortuneteller with CHUEN. CHUEN learns that he is meant to have no children in his life and he decides to cancel the wedding by making excuses……

MIN forces FAN to get back the money from YEE. TSZ accompanies FAN to look for YEE but YEE has already go bankrupt. TSZ finds that FAN is trying hard to save money so he reveals that he didn't use YEE's money for gambling. He suggests that they can use the money to repay the debts but FAN blames TSZ for lying to YEE. FAN and TSZ find that YEE has moved to the poor people's district with his wife and concubine YU FA and YU YUK. TSZ discovers that FAN has returned the money to YEE. He therefore rushes to the gambling house with FAN for they want to ask YEE to return the money to their department store. Coincidentally, WING carries out inspection on the gambling house and he captures YEE. FA and YUK reveal to FAN that DOR might be able to help YEE. FAN and TSZ ask DOR to help YEE but DOR's wife DAI PIK objects the idea. TSZ helps MIN please PIK and PIK finally allows him to help YEE. CHING is not able to get cash from YEE's cheque……

MIN accidentally damages a tie he is trying and TSZ helps him resolve the problem. CHING is looking for new tenant. Everybody discovers that WING is looking for a new place to stay so they rush to remove the notice posted by CHING. However, CHUEN gives the notice to WING… WING’s daughter KA PO comes to CHING’s building and FAN introduces himself in front of her. WING misconceives that FAN is bullying PO and he beats him madly. DOR brings some grain worms to share with FAN but PIK and her maid suddenly arrive. DOR leaves in a hurry and meets NI who is selling gold ornaments. WING forces all tenants to celebrate his birthday and everybody is not pleased. LIN accidentally discovers that NI is keeping a big bottle of grain worms so she cooks it. WING set up a gambling table for everyone during his birthday party. PO accidentally finds WING’s gold ornaments. NI tries to snatch it back but WING discovers it.

WING discovers that PO and NI are fighting for some gold ornaments. He misconceives that NI is bullying his daughter and he decides to check if the gold ornaments are real… LIN believes that she has ruined NI’s plan. She is ashamed and agrees to join her as a swindler. The business of Chuen Kee is turning really bad while CHING’s shop is getting more and more popular. CHUEN is jealous. CHUEN meets CHING’s husband YAN and YAN reveals that he has got a mistress overseas. He comes back this time to steal the business licence of Yan Kee for sale… CHING discovers that YAN has returned and left. She misconceives that CHUEN is encouraging YAN to desert her. CHUEN has no choice but to reveal the truth to her. FAN tries hard to look for a job for FUN and CHUEN misconceives that they are in love. TSZ seizes the chance and persuades CHUEN to rent his business licence to CHING. FUN agrees to pretend that he is FAN’s lover……

FAN and FUN pretend to be lover in front of CHUEN for a discussion on renting CHUEN’s business licence. However, CHUEN set up harsh conditions on the agreement and CHING is enraged. TSZ finds that FUN is performing tongue-rolling in front of PO and he cannot resist to compete his tongue-rolling skills with her. After this incident, TSZ suspects again that FUN might be his mother. As arranged by NI, LIN starts working at the department store in order to find rich targets for swindling. NI successfully pleases DOR but DOR doesn’t seem to be interested in her sexually and NI is upset. DOR’s daughter PIN PIN decides to join the department store by starting as a salesgirl. MIN worries that the staffs will reveal his misbehavior to her so he asks TSZ to think of some ways to isolate PIN from the group. FAN misconceives that PIN tries to take time-off by seducing Supervisor LAN and he scolds her. YEE pretends to be a rich old man……

NI reports to MIN that FAN and YEE are trying to steal an expensive suit from the department store. MIN insists to call the police… YEE plays trick to hide away from FAN. He returns home and is shocked to discover that both FA and YUK are pregnant. YEE sells his blood in exchange for money. He then goes to the gambling house immediately… DOR cannot stand YEE anymore and he gambles with him. YEE loses the bet and he has to work at Dor Dor Department Store. On TSZ’s birthday, he brings FAN to the hospital to celebrate his day with FUN. FUN misconceives that TSZ is in love with her. FAN and PIN are trapped inside an elevator. FAN cheers PIN up with ease. PIN’s mother DAI PIK is upset that FAN is sending her daughter home. She is also dissatisfied that FAN has given PIN cheap snacks and she scolds him angrily. PIN is sorry for FAN but she doesn’t know what to do. FAN brings PIN to Chuen Kee for food tasting……

PO blames her father for giving her wrong answers all the time. She forces WING to recruit TSZ as her tutor. FAN suspects that he has got lice on his head and all tenants are scared of him. FUN steps forward to help FAN catch the lice and this makes CHUEN believe that they are really lovers. Once again, FUN misconceives that TSZ is in love with her and she agrees to teach PO with him. In order to please DOR, NI is learning how to catch field mouse. NI successfully catches a field mouse but FAN suddenly comes to fight for it. NI accidentally falls into the abyss. CHING goes to take rice with FUN but she is surprised to realize that PIK is distributing the rice. FUN and CHING are both humiliated by PIK. CHING discovers that she used to know PIK long time ago at the abortion clinic. PIK insists that CHING and PIN should go for a blood test……

NI loses her consciousness and FAN goes visiting her. While looking after NI, LIN reveals NI's sad history of becoming a materialistic swindler. FAN accompanies CHUEN to Mr Butterfly Contest organized by the tycoon Mrs Butterfly. FAN dresses like a huge eagle and he wins the contest unexpectedly. NI visits the doctor and discovers that her arms are not paralysed anymore. NI learns that if FAN marries BUTTERFLY he could get a bonus of 10 thousand dollars so she wants to get the money by cheating again. FUN discovers that PO treats TSZ as her boyfriend. She tells PO that TSZ is actually in love with her and PO is shocked. FAN accidentally discovers that NI's arms are functioning properly now and he blames her for cheating again. NI doesn't listen to him and she insists to take FAN's bonus back to her hometown so that she could bring her mother to Hong Kong. NI falls down from a cliff accidentally……

PIK wants PIN to study music in Vienna. TOR is dissatisfied with the suggestion since PIN just returned home for a short period of time. FAN wants to take back the bonus money but NI rejects him. However, NI promises to help FAN get rid of the marriage agreement with BUTTERFLY. PIN goes to the department store to say goodbye to FAN and TSZ. FAN wants to help PIN to stay. During the fund-raising event of Dor Dor Department Store, NI is shocked to learn that FAN has donated half of his bonus money. FAN discovers that NI tries to buy a house with the remaining money and he goes to stop her. During their fight, they discover that PO is walking with a mysterious man. They follow them and ask WING to come along. FAN finds that the mysterious man is intimate with PO and he later realizes that this is WING's ex-wife CHIU MAU TAN. In order to avoid WING and his people from approaching them, FAN throws money to the sky……

CHUEN tells FAN and TSZ cheerfully that he is still young to have pimples on his face. However, he later realizes that he is actually suffering from measles. CHING is drunk after a banquet and she mistakenly enters CHUEN's room. On the next day, she is infected as well. TSZ doesn't want to see FUN down so he teaches her how to play games on his 2008 mobile phone. FUN takes care of CHING whole-heartedly but CHING treats her coldly. PIN wants to live in CHING's place and CHING is overjoyed. FUN leaves a letter and disappears. All tenants cannot understand what FUN is drawing on the paper but TSZ understands it. PIN doesn't want PO to lose her mother and the opportunity for further education. With the help of FAN and the others, PIN arranges a meeting for PO and TAN. FUN accidentally meets LAW SZE FU who opens a clinic. She starts selling medicated oil with him by means of street performance……

FUN cries sadly on the street. TOR and PIK bring her home. PIK is amazed to see the new FUN after makeover. She decides to train FUN up to be a fair lady so that CHING will change her mind on FUN. TAN forces NI to help her meeting PO but WING discovers it. NI, FAN and TSZ bring PO to the park to meet up with TAN. SHORT-LEG TIGER who just ran away from jail suddenly appears to kidnap PO and TAN for he wants to take revenge on WING. WING learns about it and he goes to the transaction location where he meets FAN and TSZ. NI finally takes the money to... NI tries to lure TOR with delicious durian for she wants his money. FAN passes by and NI naturally hands over the durian to TOR. NI plays mahjong with the tenants. Her mind drifts away upon seeing FAN and she loses a lot of money. LIN asks FU to feel NI's pulse and FU believes that NI has fallen in love with FAN...

CHUEN goes to pray for fortune in love under the Lover's Tree but everybody teases him that his dream will not come true after having an affair with CHING. CHUEN announces that he is going to move away. CHUEN asks CHING to return the deposits to him. CHING blames CHUEN for ruining her chaste reputation and she decides to take revenge by marrying him. CHUEN accidentally meets FUN who just came out from a ballet school in elegant dress and he informs CHING about it immediately. CHING wants FUN to continue her education in high-class environment so she asks CHUEN to help her. CHUEN pretends that he is dissatisfied with CHING and he forces CHING to kick FUN out. TSZ meets the warrior from future. This warrior tells him that a "time tunnel" will be opened in one of the wardrobes at Dor Dor Department Store on the 31st of the month and TSZ can return to 2008. TSZ doesn't want to hurt FUN so he tries not to declare his love to her……

CHUEN accidentally learns that CHING’s earlier medical report about her sterility is a mistake. He decides to keep it as a secret while proposing marriage to her. TSZ reminds MIN to wear shoes with shoelace for MIN wrote in his book that he has survived from a robbery by tying his shoelace… PIK discovers that TOR is committing adultery and the mistress is NI. NI threatens PIK to give her money for keeping this a secret. FAN is enraged and he slaps NI on her face. NI leaves and LIN reveals the truth to FAN. FAN is ashamed. TSZ suggests MIN to develop his business in the construction industry. SHAP hears their conversation and decides to invest in the stocks of a property developer. WING accidentally learns that SHAP has put the two fetuses of his pregnant wives as the pledge for borrowing money from the loan shark and he scolds SHAP angrily. FA and YUK are shocked to learn about it and they decide to leave SHAP……

SHAP continues to borrow money from others for he wants to gamble again. FA and YUK appear to scold him angrily. They even decide to have abortion. SHAP desperately tears off all the lottery cards and assures them that he will quit gambling. CHING and CHUEN invite everybody to their wedding banquet. Both SHAP and WING have good news to announce and the attention is being drawn away from CHUEN. FAN asks TSZ to cherish FUN. TSZ has no choice but to reveal that he actually comes from 2008. Typhoon is destroying the building that everybody is investing on. FAN and TSZ rush to MIN and MIN successfully transfers the business to others. All tenants have lost a lot of money and they scold TSZ angrily. FAN is hurt by WING’s gun accidentally and he is sent to the hospital. FAN believes in TSZ. They sneak into MIN’s place and find his safe with ease. However, MIN suddenly returns. TSZ rushes into the wardrobe while FUN hides underneath the bed……

TSZ realizes that he has hurt FAN a lot with cruel words. He also understands why FAN has been preventing him to see MIN. FAN is overjoyed to see TSZ again and he believes that he has successfully prevented him from going to the past. TSZ explains to him that he has gone to 1960s already and he has just return. MIN believes that turning into a tycoon is his fate. TSZ remembers that there is a girl who looks exactly like FUN in the fish shop and he questions FAN about her past. FAN tells TSZ that FUN had disappeared after TSZ was gone and everybody believed that they ran away together. TSZ goes to the fish shop to look for the girl and he finds his mobile phone there. However, the girl says that she is not FUN… TSZ helps FAN tidy up CHUEN’s belongings and he discovers a safe there. TSZ remembers the numbers that CHUEN was telling him before his death. He finally opens the safe and discovers the truth behind his past…
