Lawyer Sandra Paoli discovers that her uncle, who rules a crime clan on the island of Corsica, has appointed her as his successor but the decision generates an angry backlash from many clan members.
Sandra and her brother Jean-Michel, her right-hand man, take on their first official business as clan leaders when a rich local official named Zamponi tips them off about a potential jewellery heist.
Sandra discovers a human trafficking ring is smuggling underage Albanian girls into Corsica to work as prostitutes. She vows to dismantle their network, even if it means collaborating with the police.
After an explosion in a building belonging to the Paoli clan, Sandra is tasked with finding the person responsible for the attack. Carmen, Jean-Michel's daughter, is kidnapped from outside her school.
An illegal distillery belonging to the Paolis is attacked and a crisis meeting is called. Who is trying to destabilise the clan? Sandra pays a visit to Jean-Michel's regular side-kick Martial Santoni.
