Iroha Inukai lives in Animal Town with her beloved pet dog, Komugi. At Kaihin Park, she is attacked by a strange creature, a Garugaru. At that moment, a stone Komugi found begins to sparkle…
Mey Mey has returned to his original form after having been a Garugaru and asks Komugi to help his friends too. Komugi says she won’t do it unless Iroha joins her, but then a new Garugaru appears.
In Niko Garden, Mey Mey once again asks Iroha and Komugi, “Please help my friends.” Meanwhile, on his way home from Iroha's house, Satoru comes across a mysterious black egg.
Iroha and Komugi return to the Niko Garden and see how the power of a Kirarin Animal can restore it. Once back, they hurry to be the first customers on the opening day of the new Pretty Holic store.
Komugi meets a girl named Ema and her Pomeranian puppy and is reminded of her puppy days. As she is feeling gratitude to Iroha for caring for her, a new Garugaru appears.
Iroha and Komugi get into an argument after they realize the leash they always use for their walks is gone. A new Garugaru appears, but Wonderful gets frozen with fear.
Komugi runs away from Iroha’s home. She meets Satoru in town, who takes her to his house. Meanwhile, Iroha hears about Mayu’s relationship with Yuki and receives a new harness.
It’s Mayu’s first day at her new school, and she’s in Iroha’s class. Meanwhile, Komugi tries to go meet Iroha at school, but she gets distracted and winds up at Pretty Holic.
Thanks to a Niko Diamond miracle, Komugi is now able to go to school with Iroha. She immediately becomes popular, but after eating lunch she gets sleepy and turns back into a dog.
Mayu has come up with ideas for new products at Pretty Holic, but can’t decide which one to use. Watching Komugi and Iroha she remembers when she first met Yuki.
Komugi and the gang hear a rumor about a mysterious creature appearing at Mount Miharashi and decide to investigate. They climb to the summit but don’t see any signs of a Garugaru, but that’s where they notice something important.
Mayu tells Iroha she’s concerned because Yuki seems to be disappearing a lot recently. Iroha brings a security camera to Mayu’s room and as they wait for something to happen, Komugi senses a Garugaru and jumps up.
Komugi and the gang set out to find Nyammy and discover her intentions when the scent of the compact Mayu designed leads them to Pretty Holic.
Yuki isn’t feeling well, so Mayu brings her to Iroha’s house. Iroha suggests that she spend the night to keep watch over Yuki, but the next morning Komugi senses the presence of a Garugaru.
Komugi and the others spend a day helping Mey Mey take care of the Kirarin Animals in Niko Garden. But the Kirarin Animals seem to be hiding something.
Komugi and the others think they might have found a clue to the mystery of the town’s Mirror Stone. Meanwhile, Iroha’s parents see Komugi talking while she’s in dog form.
The season of animal babies has come to Animal Town. Komugi and the others go on a “Baby Animal Tour” but while they are at it, a Garugaru appears.
Yuki, the true identity of Nyammy, tells Mayu not to associate with Komugi and Iroha. Mayu goes to school that day feeling conflicted, but on the way home a Garugaru appears.
Mayu worries about Yuki, who has left home and not come back. Near Pretty Holic, Yuki is watching over Mayu from afar when the same Garugaru as last time appears before her once again.
Although she agreed to come to Niko Garden, Yuki refuses to help Komugi and the others. She refuses to change her mind even when Mayu asks, but then a new Garugaru appears...
Just like Komugi, Yuki has also started going to school with everyone. Yuki is good at studying and sports. After observing Iroha, she decides to tell her about a former friend of Mayu’s.
Komugi and Iroha are invited by their dog trainer friend Inuzuka to try a dog sport called Agility. At first, Komugi doesn’t understand the obstacle course and just runs through everything.
During an afternoon nap, Komugi dreams about a lonely wolf howling. After that, she goes out to the Star Festival and learns that Japanese wolves once lived near Animal Town.
All of the Kirarin Animals have returned, and Niko Garden is restored. The maker of the garden, Niko-sama, appears in egg form, and for some reason the egg comes to Iroha’s room.
For their summer independent research project, Komugi and the others go to the beach in Animal Town. They decide to play in the ocean until the sea turtles begin to lay their eggs, when a Garugaru appears.
Komugi and the others go outside for a walk and shopping despite the extreme heat and nearly collapse before finally taking shelter at Satoru’s house. But not long after they decide to go back outside, a Garugaru appears.
The mayor of Animal Town is hosting a Tsuchinoko Tracking Competition and Komugi and the others are joining in. While failing to find any clues, Mey Mey comes to check on the Niko-sama egg and drops it down a slope.
Komugi and the others visit their classmate Ohkuma, whose family runs a farm. They try milking cows, and they watch a sheepdog show, but then a Garugaru appears.
The egg finally cracks, and Niko returns. Komugi and the others return to Niko Garden together with Niko and learn about Gaou, the one who turned the animals into Garugarus.
Niko explains the secret of the Mirror Stone to Mey Mey. Meanwhile, Komugi and Yuki are trying to help Iroha and Mayu recover from the shock of the wolves’ anger.
Mayu begins uploading photos and videos of Yuki to Curesta. When her posts get popular, a friend, Yuma, who she knew from before she changed schools sees her post and comes to Pretty Holic.
Komugi and the others go to the Animal Town zoo, Petting Zoo. They get to see animals up close and meet an elephant Iroha has known since she was little. Note: This episode marks the 1,000th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise.
At Iroha’s house, her father Tsuyoshi has a lot of animals visiting him to get trimmed. Yuki and Mayu, then Satoru come to the house, and hear the story of how Tsuyoshi became a trimmer from Iroha’s mother, Yoko.
Mayu's father returns to hold a photo exhibition in Animal Town after a long time away. Yuki chooses not to go to the exhibit to spend some time alone and encounters a lost kitten in a park.
Yuki and Mayu see Satoru receiving a confession of love from a female classmate. That day after school, Satoru hears from Iroha that “Keiji, who I adore, is coming to my place” and gets quite a shock.
Satoru works up his courage and confesses his feelings to Iroha. But Iroha is so surprised she runs away. Iroha thinks hard about Satoru’s “special feelings” up until the morning comes….
Iroha and Satoru arrange to meet in front of the Mirror Stone and go on their first date. Komugi plans to spend the day with Yuki and Mayu, but Mey Mey has a hard time letting Iroha have Satoru to herself and tries to follow them.
Komugi is playing in the dog run when a volunteer sees her and calls her “Marron.” Iroha decides to meet with Komugi’s previous family that she lived with until two years ago.
It’s Halloween in Animal Town, and as people and animals roam the streets in costume, Komugi, who is dressed as a wolf, finds another wolf and chases after him. It’s a quiet, gentle wolf who is loved by animals, but…
Komugi and the others go to Toboe Shrine, where Gaou might be. However, Niko-sama’s power goes out of control after trying to track him, turning Iroha into a dog and Mayu into a cat.
The Drama Club invites Yuki to join them in a performance for the drama festival. As always, Yuki isn’t interested, but she finally agrees as long as she is able to wear a costume made by Mayu.
The mayor asks Mayu’s father, Takayuki, to take the pictures for the Animal Calendar, so Komugi and the others show him around town. Their first stop is the off-leash area at Kaihin Park.
Mayu decides to hold a knitting class for her classmates. Zakuro happens to see this and is inspired to knit something for Gaou.
One morning, Iroha runs into Otsuru and her dog Fuku and decides to hold a celebration for Fuku’s 18th birthday. While preparing, she finds a photo of Otsuru with a different dog.
All of the Niko Animals have returned to Niko Garden, but Iroha is feeling down because of Fuku. Komugi and the others are concerned, but then hear Torame’s howling echo through town.
Komugi and the others are invited to the Niko Garden Christmas party. Partway through, Yuki leaves to go to a different party and Komugi comes along, and on their way back they run into Zakuro.
Yuki and Mayu experience their first New Year in Animal Town and go with Komugi and the gang to see the first sunrise and make their first shrine visit of the new year. The town is full of New Year spirit, until a wolf’s howl echoes through the air.
The Precures face off with many wolf Gaogaons summoned by Gaou. Niko tries to restrain Gaou, but he catches her off-guard and steals the power of the Niko Diamond.
Subaru tries to revive Gaou using the combined powers of the Diamond Unicorn and the Mirror Stone. But when he realizes it’s not possible, he puts the Niko Diamond into his body and transforms into a giant wolf.
Reunited with Gaou, Subaru joins his friends and disappears into the light. The Pretty Cures see them off and then it’s time to say goodbye to Niko and Mey Mey before they return to Niko Garden.
