Vikram and his American wife Anna travel to India to meet Vikram's estranged father. The small town of Ooty is oddly familiar to Anna who becomes haunted by visions of a murder that happened thirty years ago.

Composed of three episodes—titled Kali, Shakti, and Devi—and linked within a narrative framework, it tells the story of the Taylor-Eriksson group, its members, and their extreme practices in search of awareness and liberation from karma.
