You Are What You Eat is a dieting programme aired in various forms between 2004 and 2007 on British broadcasting company Channel 4, and presented by Gillian McKeith. The fourth series was called You Are What You Eat: Gillian Moves In.

Telling powerful stories in hourlong episodes, TLC follows medical journeys of morbidly obese people as they attempt to save their own lives. The featured individuals - each weighing more than 600 pounds confront lifelong emotional and physical struggles as they make the courageous decision to undergo high-risk gastric bypass surgery. In addition to drastically changing their appearances, they hope to reclaim their independence, mend relationships with friends and family, and renew their feelings of self-worth.

Eight brave participants in the transformation will share their story. And they discover that not only indiscipline in eating, but also emotional overeating and other factors are behind their excess weight. Those that influence the development of overweight everyone. On the way to their dream figure, all the participants of the Fatty project have to grapple not only with unfamiliar foods or healthy eating, but also with healthy and regular exercise. In addition, they have to get their lives in order, which is a problematic trigger for becoming overweight.

I Used To Be Fat is an MTV reality series that follows overweight teens striving to achieve weight loss through means of diet and exercise. Each episode follows one teenager who is paired with a motivational personal trainer. A trainer teaches them new exercise and eating habits over the next few months while offering emotional support. Documented students share their personal trials and tribulations in the series. Several episodes of the show have covered a high school student's last summer before college. These students expressed a desire for a metamorphosis before they start their new lives away from home.

Follow morbidly obese individuals as they fight for a chance to live the life they have always wanted, both for themselves and for their loved ones. Reaching a combined weight of more than 6,000 pounds, and at an extreme breaking point, these individuals are turning to weight loss authority Dr. Now, and his team of specialists, to get life-changing bariatric surgery and acquire the tools they need to deal with emotional eating. Through intimate diary cams and confessionals, each episode highlights one person's comprehensive experience as they share intimate inner thoughts, emotional and physical struggles, and their ultimate journey to take back their lives.

Dancing her way through the haters, Whitney Way Thore is embracing her body in a world that judges people by their size. She navigates both career challenges and relationship snafus with her vivacious personality, a sense of humor and an abundance of courage. This series follows Whitney who was diagnosed with an endocrine system disorder called polyscystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) which caused her, a slender dancer at the time, to gain more than 200 pounds in one year at college. Feeling trapped in a big body, she struggled with self-doubt and negative stereotypes. Now 380 pounds and eager to continue sharing her passion for dance, Whitney has learned to embrace her body and love herself again.

For three months, overweight participants will live in a camp and undergo physical and psychological tests. Their mentors and assistants on the path to a new life will be sports coach Eteri Tutberidze, women's rugby team coach Kirill Kosharin, nutritionist and nutritionist Dr. Regina and psychologist Anetta Orlova.
