THE OPENER is a feel-good, underdog music doc about a street performer who wrote 30 songs in 30 days to process his grief and isolation during the pandemic, and found that his music spoke to millions. When it reached the ears of one of his heroes, Grammy-winner Jason Mraz, he was invited on his very first tour and given a chance to prove himself on the big stage.

In the industrial and maritime city of Le Havre, Soren and Karving, two 14-year-old friends, are passionate about fishing. In conflict with authority and failing at school, fishing has become their space of freedom and a unique way to project themselves into the future: more than anything, Soren wants to become a fisherman and Karving a fisherman-reporter. As the pressure of their exams mounts, and without their diploma they can kiss their dream life goodbye, they will have to compromise between their passion and reality.

The bombings recently carried out by the Revolutionary Breton Army (ARB) have drawn attention to the political and cultural history of the Breton movement. Since then, the fictional space of the garden became so tangible that people from all over the world come to Ferrara to look for it. Fifty years after winning the Oscar, reality and fiction come together once more, as we walk through an imaginary garden and bring to life the book, its author, its main protagonists, history, love, friendships and betrayals.
