Two outlaws, The Lonely Rider and the Indian Tonto, have caught (at least they think they have) Speedy Gonzales, a ruthless gunfighter from the town of Njietponimaistadi. They start to travel to another town for the reward, through the desert without water and fighting against Indians. And just to find out that they have made a full circle back to origin.

"Rosa", with a libretto by Peter Greenaway and score by Louis Andriessen, is the first in a projected series of 10 operas, each dealing with the death of a famous composer - some real, others fictional. "Rosa" falls into the latter category; it tells the story of Juan Manuel de Rosa, a Brazilian who went to study music in America but spent most of his time in the cinema instead, becoming particularly entranced by Westerns. Now 32 years old and residing in an abandoned Uruguayan slaughterhouse, Rosa has become one of Hollywood's foremost composers, specialising in Westerns. He also has a beautiful 19-year-old fiancee, Esmeralda, but he pays her little heed, instead lavishing his attentions on a black mare named Bola. One day, a group of men attired as cowboys arrive at the abattoir and kill both Rosa and Bola; an investigation is conducted, with particular suspicion!

A well-loved world-champion rodeo cowboy comes to terms with little time left to live from his terminal illness. Rather than waiting to die in the hospital, he convinces his grand-son, a rising, young rodeo cowboy, to break him out of the hospital for "one last ride" in the wilderness. With the love and support of his grandson, he hands him his trophy buckle, climbs on his horse, and is able to ride into the sunset to die the way he lived, with the utmost dignity.

Robert Burton was an only son and his indulgent mother had spoiled him. Bob was not all bad, but he was woefully weak and could not stick long at any one task. Also he paid more attention to rolling cigarettes than he did to his work. One day he was discharged by the foreman of the crockery store where he worked and appeared at home disgusted and sullen. Alice Marson, an eastern young lady, becomes engaged to Glen Arnold, a young man just out of college. Girl-like, she rushes to her friend, Lucy Starr, and tells of the engagement. Lucy, who also had designs on Glen, congratulates Alice, but determines to break up the match.

Jim Gorson, a handsome woodcutter, persuades the wife of Richard Stratton to elope with him. Twenty years later, Dick Stratton, Richard's son, a Northwest Mounted Policeman, is ordered to capture Bill and Doug Gorson. Circumstantial evidence points to the Gorsons as murderers of Dick's father, but the Gorsons escape, leaving behind their father wounded by the Mounties.

Paulo leaves his family to find freedom, but along lonely roads and a new love, he’s forced to face his past and decide if he can start over.

Cactus Trails is a 1927 American silent Western film directed by Scott Pembroke.

A cowboy promises his dying foster-father, "Honest" John Maggert, that he will return the cattle that Maggert rustled from the local ranchers.

A young cowboy falls in love with the daughter of a rich rancher, and they plan to marry. However, the cowboy winds up getting in a fight with the girl's cousin and is forced to shoot him. Believing that he has killed the man and will be prosecuted for murder, the cowboy flees and ends up working on a ranch in Oregon, where his cowboy skills impress the owner to the extent that he is picked as the ranch's entrant in the World Rodeo Championships held in nearby Pendleton--a competition in which his fiancé's ranch is also entered.

In 1846, a reclusive thief and escaped female slave partner to survive being hunted by their enemies across the Alta California frontier.
